  2. Nice photo. What kind of berries are they?

    1. salmon berries…. they grow wild in coastal alaska

      1. Oh, I had never heard of them. I thought it was just a way to describe their color. Now I understand. What do they taste like? Are they similar to blackberries? Raspberries?

        1. very mild and slightly sweet…. they are too mild for good jam but very good mixed with wild huckleberries. mostly we just eat them by the handful as we walk!

  3. i’ve been seeing lots of salmonberries on blogs i read lately. we don’t have them here in my part of the country, so i’m quite intrigued by them!

  4. Yummy berries! Nothing like hand-picked berries!

  5. Looks tasty!
